Gabriela Brandenstein is one of the great personalities currently active in the Austrian theatre, film and literature scene. She was born in Vienna and, in 1974, graduated from the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, a prestigious Viennese art school. Gabriela has been working as a freelance photographer ever since. Gabriela Brandenstein has been taking production photographs as well as portraits working for renowned theatres including the Burgtheater, Akademietheater and Volkstheater. Her photographs have been used on many album and CD covers for worldwide distribution by major record companies including Deutsche Grammophon, Philips, and Sony. Gabriela Brandenstein’s portraits of Austrian authors present a veritable gallery of literature.
